Before launching KYG Trade, Todd R. Smith spent 18 years at the Big 4, helping global enterprises navigate trade and tariff compliance, savings, and automation.
As a licensed customs broker with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – a federal law enforcement agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – Todd developed a deep understanding of the challenges trade professionals face daily.
Frustrated by the repetitive, manual processes that slowed down compliance teams – like gathering product and shipment documents just to begin analysis – Todd envisioned a better way. He brought together a team of experts who had lived those same frustrations to build the global trade management platform they always wished they had.
